Daisy Godwin, Creative and Logical Thinking

Bharata Natyam Dancer
Daisy Godwin (Ou-Yang Chia-Wei) was a choreographer, dance instructor, Bharata Natyam performer and the founder of DanceMandara. She started out her Graphic Arts career when she was the owner of a bookstore, handling monthly store events, publishing newsletters, and presenting local Artists, Musicians, Actors and Dancers. At the time, Daisy was very curious about the computer's potential and desired to return to school for Computer Graphics Art at Auburn University in Montgomery. In the year 1996, AUM honored her with a position in a corporate marketing department as an intern Graphic Designer. Later, she got a Graphic Artist position with a Screen Printing company in Atlanta, Georgia.top

Freelance Graphic Designer
Daisy is engaged in a long-term relationship with New York City's Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company since year 1999. When the company toured in Atlanta for one week, Daisy took an extra step to and managed their local public relations with the result of a full house. Sometimes Daisy chooses to travel with the company or attend their Showcase to share their excitement and capture moments of stage energy with her digital camera. After years of working with a performing arts business, she has developed a wide range of promotional project experience plus nationwide contacts. You can find her work in Dance Magazine, Inside Arts, New York Time Out, Village Voice etc. Work in other venues include posters at The Town Hall in New York City and the New Jersey Performing Arts Center. Daisy designed and launched her very first web site: DaisyGraphics.com in the year 2001. She bulit a computer presentation for a Trade Show. A former professional choreographer, Daisy successfully managed her stage debut in Print Media then expanded into Cyberspace.top

Digital Prepress Artist
Daisy started the role of a Digital Prepress Artist in the year 2003. She created and set up the first Personalized Variable Data projects with HP Indigo Multi Stream Digital Press for Danker Print Solutions Inc. Analysing customer's files, interfacing with CAD Drawing, dealing with color matching system and precise laser die cut became her daily duties. She constantly works between various programs and operating systems, absorbing new knowledge to stay fresh with the latest technology. She completed the Front End Tools for HP Indigo Press 5000 training class in 2006. Creative and logical thinking, embracing challenges and solving problems are Daisy's strengths.
